WordCore Scan Beta Versions 1.xx
The first version of WordCore was designed for the ambulant
client who would be accessing the device manually. WordCore Scan
is the latest development aimed at providing more efficient access for
clients who are using single-switch scanning. Any feedback is appreciated.

WordCore Scan Beta 1.03
This beta version hs been modified to add the following features;
1. All Spelling pages have a new key added - SCAN WORD LIST. Selecting this will cause the device to
scan through the Word Prediction window, allowing selection of the appropriate word or grammatical
form. The key has been located in the top left corner of the page for quick access.
2. The Word Rows have been modified to be clustered in the left hand section of the Spelling pages,
making it quicker to scan to the locations.
3. Letters have been shifted to the right hand section of the pages, again ordered for speed of access;
for example, the letter "O" takes 7 steps to access, as compared with 11 on the original WordCore
configuration.
The aim of the program is to make access to high frequency vocabulary as quick as possible, hence the
reason for having the high frequency words on the left, rather than the letters. It is possible that I
will be posting a second version that has the system optimized for letter selection i.e. the letters
will be on the left, not the words.
