The WordCore Development Team
Like all software, WordCore is a "work in progress," or perhaps
a "moving target!". This means that it will change over time in response
to feedback from the folks using it. Simply because you are reading this
yourself, you may also be prepared to offer valuable feedback
So, the idea of a "WordCore Development Team" came to mind; a loose-knit group of
individuals all sharing in the growth of the WordCore program. Of course, this Team is
ultimately not so much as democracy as a "benign dictatorship," but as the author
of the software I wish to be the Keeper of the Vision, so to speak.
The best way you can help is to provide DATA. You can do this easily by using the "Language
Activity Monitor" software in your Vantage or Vanguard. When you turn this ON, it logs
the vocabulary used, along with information on when it was used and whether it was a
pre-stored word, spelled out, or accessed via Word Prediction.
Periodically, you can save this data to a computer as a file. If you then send this file to me,
you will have my gratitude and admiration, but more importantly you will have provided me with
important data that I can use to build improved versions of WordCore.
If you want to join the Team, all you have to do is send an e-mail
to; Wordcore Team
In the e-mail, include the following information;
- Name and e-mail address
- Location in the world
- Suggestion for change
- Nature of your involvement with WordCore
As part of the Team, you will receive beta-updates of WordCore as they become available.
Please remember that the word "beta" really stands for "be extremely
tentative always!" By its very nature, beta software can go wrong and be funkier than Prince
and the Revolution performing "Super Funk" at the "Masters of Funk" concert. The
author takes no responsibility for any untoward consequences that occur as a result of using the
beta-version software.
But more importantly, you will get that sense of goodwill that stems from your taking part in
improving the quality of other people's lives. Each time you meet someone using future versions of
WordCore you'll be able to feel part of the Grand Scheme of Life.
