I am a Speech and Language Pathologist working for the Prentke Romich Company based in Wooster, Ohio, USA. I am involved in developing special software for people who are using Voice Output Communication Aids (VOCAs) that use a unique visual language called
Minspeak
Outside work, I have a wife and two kids who take up a lot of my time, and a Macintosh Power PC on which I spend far too much time.
I have three guitars and a fairly eclectic CD and record collection. I read a lot and recommend that you do too rather than waste time surfing the Internet and reading about me!
Velda is my wife. I met her 21 years ago when we were teenagers and we married 13 years ago in Padiham, Lancashire, UK at St. Leonards church. For many years, she worked as a pediatric nurse in Burnley, Lancashire, UK and did lots of voluntary work with the St. John Ambulance Brigade. She now spends all her time ensuring that the kids and I are suitably clothed, fed, disciplined etc. and managing the household, particularly the budget. Without her, I would spend everything on food, CDs, books, computers, and travel. She is, without doubt, the most special person in my life and without whom I wouldnt be who I am today.
Cheryl and Katie are my daughters.
Cheryl is the older and is a keen swimmer who loves to read. She attends Middle school and is now in 7th grade. Although she can be very spirited at times, she has a very vivid imagination and a sense of the dramatic. Her future is likely to be either on the stage or as a salesperson - any job that requires some acting!

Katie is going on 50! She is in Elementary school and is a bouncy, boisterous, karate kid who loves everyone. Like her sister, she also has a feel for high drama, but her special talent is being able to chuckle at nearly everything. Her infectious giggle is guaranteed to turn anyone into a smiling person and with her huge grin, she is quite a charmer. When she grows up, she's probably going to be in advertising.
I have three guitars that I play for relaxation. The first is a Peerless classical that I bought from a friend for $10 in 1975. I learned all about chords using the Learn guitar with Ulf Goran book and disk, and heavy metal from Deep Purple. The second guitar is an Eko acoustic that I have had for around 14 years. Originally, I had an 12-string, but it was damaged beyond repair and so I bought the 6-string. Finally, I have an &$145;Antoria Gibson SG copy that I rarely play on account of my not having an amplifier! However, this is my second such guitar - the first I bought in the mid-seventies and played in a high school band with my friends Ian Shorrock (lead guitar) and Antonio Liberato Parenti (bass and token Italian). I was rhythm and vocals. Sadly, we all went to college and split - but tapes still remain
I now own a Korg X5D Synthesizer, with a 16 channel MIDI interface to my Mac and sequencing software. This means I have a band-in-a-box that gives me a 16-piece band to play with! One day Ill add a MIDI section to the Cell, but it just yet.
