The Pathfinder represents the first device to combine a static keyboard with a touch-screen display. The merging of the two technologies allows owners of the device to have a variety of ways of using language.
For people who have difficulty using small keyboards, the Pathfinder can also be operated using 64- or 32-location keyguards. For clients with restricted physical control, there are switch input options, and if there are any visual problems, auditory prompting is available.
Weighing just under 5lbs, the Pathfinder is portable and can be carried using either a strap or a specially-designed carry case.
