WordCore for Vantage and Vanguard
WordCore is a word-based voice output communication software.
It has been written to work on the Vantage and Vanguard communication
aid devices manufactured by the Prentke Romich Company. There is also
a version for the AXS1600 - a device no longer being produced, but still
being used by some individuals.
It uses a Core vocabulary of high frequency words, supplemented by a
Word Predictor. It uses only 45 keys, but can access over 1700 words with
only 3 keystrokes per word.
This presentation outlines the features of the software. There are also a number of
downloadable materials that have been already designed. These include extra pages to
load into your SpringBoard. Some of the items are in PDF format so you need
