Notes:
With WordCore, the Vantage/Vanguard screen is divided into a number of functionally different areas.
Text Area: Where all generated text appears. Text items can be deleted, and touch the text area will speak the contents.
Icon Buffer: Displays the names of the keys selected from the Core Vocabulary area.
Feedback Area: Provides information on the status of some features of the device, such as the battery power available, volume levels, memory available etc.
Activity Row: A Row of 9 keys that can change (a) as a response to selecting a key in the Core, or (b) as a response to being selected directly. It is possible to scroll along the Activity Row to new Rows containing more vocabulary.
Core Vocabulary: 45 keys that contain specific, high-frequency vocabulary. Items can be stored under individual keys or sequences of keys. Core keys can also generate extra items in the Activity Row, or call up special Pages.
Pages: 45-key location arrangements that can be programmed with each key containing a separate message.
