The Communication Aid manufacturer is primarily concerned with providing technology that can be used by speech-impaired clients either to support/enhance limited articulation or replace the speech apparatus altogether. The delivery of technology is ultimately aimed at the individual who will be using it, but there are many people involved in the process of setting-up an AAC system for that client. Therefore, the manufacturer has a number of obligations to different groups.
