More Detail
Here's a step-by-step breakdown of what happens when this 'Search' macro
runs:
PAGE-UP
When a Notebook is open, this command sends the cursor to the
top of the Notebook. It is important to start there because the
Pathfinder will only search text from top to bottom unless you
tell it otherwise.
EDIT-MENU
This opens up the Edit Menu where you will find the 'search'
command.
4
On the Edit Menu screen, 4 corresponds to the 'Find and Replace'
option.
4
This opens to the 'Find and Replace' screen and 4 os the actual
'Find' command. There are other options available, but we aren't
using those in this macro!
A text box opens on screen and asks you to spell the text you
want to find. You can, if you want, flip to Minspeak Mode and
enter text that way.
The macro will look for the word and if it finds it, it will
be highlighted. If not, it gives you the message 'Text Not Found'
at the bottom of the screen.
You can use this with the Phone Directory already in your Pathfinder
under the sequence NOTEBOOK + PHONE. Start adding new numbers as 'Name'
then 'Number' and then use this macro as the list gets longer.
If you think up some other weird and wonderful searchable Notebooks,
let me know.
