Seiko CII
The Seiko printer works with Pathfinder IrDA but there are some problems
that you need to be aware of.

1. With your Pathfinder set for IrDA and Output to IMMEDIATE, you will
get some problems.

The printer is essentially stupid and simply looks for input from somewhere
without really analysing it. When Pathfinder is in IMMEDIATE, it sends
out information more or less as you hit a key. The printer then prints
what it picks up.
Unfortunately, this includes some Pathfinder commands that you don't
actually see on the PF screen. For example, if you are spelling and using
Word Prediction windows, when you select from the screen, the PF sends
a "backspace" command to the display to delete the letter and
replace it with the word you've chosen. On screen, you'll just see the
word. However, this "backspace" command gets sent as text to
the printer, so on the paper you see something else.
So you may see things like this on your printer paper:
t.ACKSPACEtradition
The "ackspace" error is not an error in the strict sense because
the printer is simply doing what it is supposed to be doing - receiving
information and printing it out. It has no way of knowing that you are
using a Word Predictor.
So what's the solution?
First, turn your IrDA Output to DELAYED.

This tells your PF not to send any data to an IrDA device until YOU
tell it to.
Second, program a key to effectively be your "Print it NOW"
key. Assign the key as follows:

The example above is from a modification to the "AQLS" program
where we made that key be the "Print it NOW" key in all Modes
(Minspeak, Spell and Computer). You MUST hit the "RETURN" key
after the <SERIAL-MARKER> command when you're storing this.
When you hit this key, it will now send everything you've just written
to the printer, without the odd "ackspace" and such like.
