Printers

When folks find a printer that works well with the Pathfinder, send me the details and I'll list it here. Remember, I am NOT testing them myself, just going off other folk's recommendations, based on it working for them.


Seiko CII

Seiko CII printer The DPU-3445 is compact and lightweight IR wireless printer available on the market, measuring just 160mm x 89mm x 29.5mm (WxDxH), and weighing only 370 grams (including battery). Designed to meet the mobile environment's demand for durability and reliability, the DPU-3445 features a Lithium-ion battery with an external charger and 4K bit internal memory. The Lithium-ion battery's 7.2V DC power (9.3V with the AC adapter), offers 8,000 print lines on a single charge. THE DPU-3445 also features:

  • Prints 16 or 24 dot numbers, lines, and text.

  • A print speed of 50 mm/second and a resolution of 8 dots/mm.

  • Prints width of 104 mm. Prints directly from a desktop PC or LAN or via the RS-232C port.

Hewlett-Packard Laser Jet 2100SE printerWith an output resolution of 1,200 dpi, a speed rating of 10 pages per minute, and an engine that's built to last, the 2100se is a printer for demanding users. It doesn't skimp on quality in either text or graphics. It even accommodates telecommuters -- you can print from your laptop, Palm Pilot, or PDA, using the 2000se's infrared port. A Growth Opportunity The 2100se also offers exceptional expandability. Add more RAM, and you can print large, complex graphics at a faster pace. Add a networking card, and everyone in the office can share the printer. Add PostScript support, and you can create a mixed Mac/PC environment. Add the optional 250-sheet paper tray, and you can cut down on your trips to the printer to reload paper. It all adds up to a very capable printer.
