Activities

You can set-up special activities in your Pathfinder. But I bet you didn't know you could share these with other folks! OK, so there's a trick to doing it, but here's the place to find out how!

Current Activities for Download

Web Surfer

Computer Emulation (CA 1.03)

How To Get Downloaded Activities Into Your Pathfinder

Step 1: Keep USER AREA 6 free as a "safe-house"

When you download anything from this site and then use your MTI to transfer into your Pathfinder, you must load it into USER AREA 6. That ensures you don't mess up vocabulary in your everyday area.

Step 2: Go to USER AREA 6

Once you've used MTI to get the Activities into the Pathfinder, use the USER AREA MENU to go to USER AREA 6. It may have a new name. For example, in the "Web Surfer" activity, I've renamed it "Netscape for Windows" if you load that version.

Step 3: Copy the Activities you want from User Area 6 to the User Area you want them to appear in.

Select USER AREA MENU again, but then hit "7. More Items" That will give you a screen that says "1. Copy Selected Activities" and "2. Copy All Activities." Sometimes you will select the "some," other times the "all" - it will depend on the Acitivity.

Choose the Area you want to copy into and then the Activities. They apear on the display and you just touch the ones you want. When you select, the picture goes gray to show you've chosen it. Touch it again to unchoose.

Step 4: Go to the User Area you've copied into.

Now you need to check things have worked. If they have, well yippy kay ay kimosabe! If not, try again by going back to Area 6.

Step 5: Erase User Area 6.

Once you have what you need, you can dump what's in Area 6 and leave it empty until the next time you add an Activity.

WarningJust a warning: Sometimes when you copy Activities from one Area to another, you may lose some of the links. If that happens, just go in an re-link them.

1.03 revision: for those who need to know, I modified the MOUSE Activity so that instead of linking to another SMALL MOUSE activity, it simply moved to a new row, where I stored all the small mouse commands. This takes care of one of the previos linking problems.

Phew, so how did it go? Still having problems? Send me an e-mail or fill-in a feedback/help form. I'll do my best!
